The refurbished buckets are an important part of the mining operation, as they are used underground to transport and handle materials. Each repair addresses wear and damage by replacing the cutting edge and parts subject to stress. <\/p>\n\n

To ensure a strong and durable weld, the steel is preheated to minimize deterioration of quality and to enable the buckets to handle the demanding conditions.<\/p>\n\n

We spoke to Anders Karlsson, site manager at VINAB in G\u00e4llivare, for a comment on the project:<\/p>\n\n

Euro Mining handles about 25 million tons of rock per year and is one of Sweden’s largest contractors in rock handling.<\/p>\n\n
