About the service
As Design Manager, you will play a key role in leading the department and together you will shape ways of working that enable efficient manufacturing and delivery. You will lead the design department towards innovative, cost-effective and high-quality solutions and contribute with practical design work yourself.
You and your department are involved throughout the project phase and are responsible for design and construction. You work closely with our site managers, customers and other colleagues while ensuring quality. A key part of your role is to provide hands-on leadership, coach and develop your colleagues and drive continuous improvement.
Main tasks
- Manage and develop construction work cost-effectively and safely with a focus on quality, efficiency and skills development.
- Ensure that the design complies with standards, laws and regulations.
- Responsible for the design department’s quotation work, invoicing and financial follow-up.
- Participate in the growth of the company by being out and about meeting customers and clients.
We are looking for you who
- Has several years of experience in construction work and experience in leading teams.
- Is a mechanical engineer or has other relevant training or equivalent work experience.
- Have good computer skills and knowledge of software in Construction and Mechanical Engineering (Tex Tekla, Robot, Autocad, Inventor, Vault, SimSolid).
- Strong communication skills and coaching leadership.
- We consider it an advantage if you have experience of working in industry.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Is structured, tech-savvy.
