Since 2018, VINAB has been doing machining for its customers and now a new lathe has arrived at the workshop in Gällivare. The lathe, which is a HAAS ST35Y, will enable a broadening of our machining capacity, which in turn will benefit a wider customer base and diversify our business.
We spoke to Anders Karlsson, site manager at VINAB in Gällivare, for a comment on the addition:
“The new lathe was commissioned at the beginning of August and has allowed us to increase our precision and versatility in machining. With a 3rd Y axis, the new lathe opens up possibilities for more advanced machining and milling directly on the lathe. This is a development that will improve our ability to handle complex projects and open up new possibilities for quality and precise machining”

Integrating the new lathe into the fleet marks an investment in the future and development of VINAB. With the new machine, the company will be well positioned to meet an ever-changing industry and offer customized solutions for a multitude of different customer needs.
